Lewey trained at The Arden School of Theatre, Manchester, and The Electric Theatre Studios, Barnsley and is a versatile performer and passionate advocate for social change.

Lewey’s recent history has been marked by the founding of Humans MCR, a multi award-winning food poverty charity based in Greater Manchester. With a mission to empower families and individuals to break the cycle of generational poverty, Humans MCR supports approximately 20,000 people annually, reflecting Lewey’s commitment to making a tangible difference in the community.

Lewey has been proud to support Gary Clarke Company’s work over many years including script and text creation and development for productions including “Palace of Varieties,” “Horsemeat,” “Coal,” “Wasteland,” “Beethoven” with Anjali Dance Company, and “Metamorphosis” with Morph Dance Productions.

Notable performances include “The Voice” in “Alternative Miss Liverpool” for Homotopia, and as a company member in “9-5” for Homotopia.

In 2024, Lewey was honoured with The British Citizen Award (BCA) in recognition for their positive impact on community. Other awards and accolades include the prestigious Brian Glover Award for Outstanding Achievement, Community Champion Award at the Community Care GM Awards, the Organisation Making a Difference in the Community Award at the This Is MCR Awards, and Special Recognition from The High Sheriff of Greater Manchester.
Lewey is excited to continue their collaboration with GCC in the conclusion of their recent trilogy of work.
