Why did you want to get involved with DETENTION?
I was 14 when Section 28 came in and my school was very homophobic. I was closeted, alone and full of self-loathing. Overcoming the impact of that time has been a life’s work and being involved in a show that stares it in the face is a truly cathartic experience.
