Why did you want to get involved with DETENTION?
Growing up in Inverness, in the highlands of Scotland, I remember being told in a class of 20 “I can’t teach you about homosexuality but 1 in 10 of you will be Gay”. I never knew what gay was but knew I was different, and my friend Paul was bullied for being effeminate and called poof and queer. I was affected!
