Why did you want to get involved with DETENTION?
The 1980’s are very recent years, and I am moved when I see the ways in which things have changed with regard to being able to live as ‘your true self”. But, though the culture of always looking over your shoulder and being careful who you tell, has mellowed, prejudice still exists and the ‘shots’ still hurt.
